InfoPath Dev

Hi All

 I have read a lot about auto numbering and given it a good go, but still no luck. i spent a lot of time looking at this

but it apears not to match the infopath 2010 format.

all i need is a simple method of adding a number to a pre formated text i.e.

SSOW-005-01. SSOW-005-02 AND SO ON

can anyone point me in th eright direction.

I am very new to this and need simple steps, please if you are replying don assume i know anything.

on this matter can anyone recomend a good book on infopath2010 

What is the error you are getting that lets you know its doesn't work in 2010?

I just cant et it to work as discribed. No error it all seams ok but no number is being added to the sp list item
