    publishing error 'data connection contains pararmeterized queries' and 'could not verify the form template on the specified server

    Hi,

    I finally got my qrules form to work in the client,  but when I go to publish it to be used in the browser I get the following errors in the design checker.

    'data connection contains pararmeterized queries'

    'could not verify the form template on the specified server'

    I've been going through the PDFs on this site,  and I thought I was doing everything right when I published.   Any ideas how to fix these?

    I've been told that we have the sandbox enabled on our server too.

    Thanks

    I've seen some of these warnings go away once I uncheck the options within Form Options > Offline.

    I've also clicked Publish Anyway, and the form works fine in the browser.

    Are you getting an error that stops you, or just a warning? You can attach a screenshot via the Options tab if possible.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    I tried your suggestions,  the errors in the design checker went away.   But when I publish,  it gets all the way to the end and then I get a warning saying that the form will only be able to be used in filler because it contains features not supported in the browser.

    I don't know what the features that are not supported are,  it's just a test form with 1 repeating table and QRules.

    Oh and i did try and use the form anyways,   and when I try and open it from SharePoint it opens in the client instead of the browser.

    Hi-

    I can think of two things to try:

    1. If you can send me your form, I'll take a look, publish it on one of our SharePoint servers, and test it out. Send the XSN to support at qdabra dot com

    2. Would you be able to add custom code to a blank, new form, and then publish that (via sandbox)? If that form with code (non-qRules) cannot be deployed, then it's most likely an issue with SharePoint and not qRules.

    Let me know which one you'd like to try.

    Thanks.

    More info: The second option would confirm whether you are able to sandbox, i.e. whether you are a site collection admin.

    I can try #2 really quick,  what type of custom code should I add and where?

    Thanks!

     Hi-

    Here's a simple form with code.

    Hi,

    What was the code that you added to this sample form?

     It would not publish for me,  and I'm working with our support team, but they are asking me what code is in the form.

    Hi - I added a simple loading event:

            public void FormEvents_Loading(object sender, LoadingEventArgs e)
            {
                MainDataSource.CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:field1", NamespaceManager).SetValue("Hello there!");
            }

    You should be able to remove the code currently in the form, and then add the code yourself, if you like. Or create a new form, add a field called "field1", add a loading event and add the code.

    If you preveiw the form, you should see the field getting set to Hello there.

    I should leave the quotes right?

    I get an error when trying to preview using this code,  I have a field named field1 but in VBA it shows the stuff in the quotes in RED.

    Yes. In C# at least, Visual Studio highlights strings in a red tone. Please see the attached screenshot. I'm assuming you get an error because the code won't compile? Did you set the form to use VB or C#? The reason we provided you with a sample with code was so you could easily try to publish to see if you had an issue with your IPFS configuration.

    I must be doing something wrong,

     If I copy/paste that code into my form,  I get an error that says there are 'build errors' and then it won't even start the publishing wizard to let me put the path to my SP site.

    Does the code need to go in a certain spot?

    1. Under the Developer tab on the ribbon, select Language.
    2. Click the Remove Code to remove your current code.
    3. Make sure the language is set to C#.
    4. Click OK to close the dialog.
    5. Under the Developer tab on the ribbon, click Loading Event.
    6. Wait for the code editor to open.
    7. The loading event will look like this:
    public void FormEvents_Loading(object sender, LoadingEventArgs e)
    {

    // Write your code here.
    }

    Where you see // Write your code here, paste the following line:

    MainDataSource.CreateNavigator().SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:field1", NamespaceManager).SetValue("Hello there!");

    Preview your form.

    OK, got it working in preview mode.

    But I still get an error when trying to publish to the share, about it only being able to opened in filler.

    What does "publish to the share" mean - are you publishing as an admin approved template? Or are you trying to sandbox?
