I basically modified an existing infopath form and added version 2 as an additional content type

 but I have 2 fields that are not translating to the list like they did before on submit. They are existing fields and were not modified during the editing process.

this is not exactly true - the fields are there if I add them to the view separately, but I cannot use them in a calculated column.

I have an info path form libary where I now have 2 content types - version 1 and version 2.

in order to compensate for now having 2 columns with the same name in the form library I created calculated columns based on content type.

however 2 fields will not work. one is a date field and one is a name field.

if I add the fields/columns to the view separately, the values show up fine.

problem #2
I added one of the site columns to the default view only thinking that might help... now I can't remove it... where can I do that?
