    Re: Error with My Submit to sharepointlist Command

    It doesn't look right to me. When I look at your secondary data source called Clearmarkinfo, you have Etching then ID. When I look at your main data source, the node order is ID then Etching. Like I said, Copy Table just copies one to one - first node from source to first node in destination. Thus, Etching from the 2ds is copied into Id in the main ds. ID from the 2ds is copied to Etching in the main ds. Not sure what orders the columns in the 2ds - probably the column order in the default view. In the main ds, you can right click a node and move it up or down. Move ID down in the main data source (as long as your form is not in production - don't go moving nodes around if you've already got XML filled out).

    Ok so I moved the etching field up in the main to match the secondary  Now they are in the right spot and the copy table command looks like its working fine .    But of course i get another error when i try and sync to list now.

    Did your command change at all? You didn't rename the ID field or anything, did you? Post your latest template, I'll take another look.

    Nope did not touch that command All I did to my ID field was move etching above it.  I am using perview right now to work out errors before i post..

    Can you use File / Save As to save an XML file after your copy table command runs and check the XML for the ID node (or attach it here so I can)? Do all your "Etching" fields in SharePoint have values? I'm wondering if Copy Table is sometimes removing your main data source ID field.

    Yea i tried to File save in xml after i copy table . did get an error

    I also added the ID field to my main repeating table to make sure its getting copied over.  And it seems fine.

    Re: Error with My Submit to sharepointlist Command

    Did you change your mapping? The mapping file no longer points to a repeating group, thus the ID parameter would have to be the full path to the ID node instead of a relative path. Your current mapping file has "my:myFields" for the repeating group - your previous mapping file had my:myFields/my:Items/my:Item

    Here's the mapping file you are currently using:

     <my:Mappings>
        <my:IsRepeating>true</my:IsRepeating>
        <my:RepeatingGroup>my:myFields</my:RepeatingGroup>
        <my:Mapping>
          <my:FormField my:IsRichText="false">my:Items/my:Item/my:serial</my:FormField>
          <my:SharePointColumn>Title</my:SharePointColumn>
        </my:Mapping>
        <my:Mapping>
          <my:FormField my:IsRichText="false">my:Items/my:Item/my:partno</my:FormField>
          <my:SharePointColumn>partnumber</my:SharePointColumn>
        </my:Mapping>
        <my:Mapping>
          <my:FormField my:IsRichText="false">my:Items/my:Item/my:customerinfoline1</my:FormField>
          <my:SharePointColumn>cusinfo1</my:SharePointColumn>
        </my:Mapping>
        <my:Mapping>
          <my:FormField my:IsRichText="false">my:Items/my:Item/my:customerinfoline2</my:FormField>
          <my:SharePointColumn>cusinfo2</my:SharePointColumn>
        </my:Mapping>
        <my:Mapping>
          <my:FormField my:IsRichText="false">my:Items/my:Item/my:datemfg</my:FormField>
          <my:SharePointColumn>datemfg</my:SharePointColumn>
        </my:Mapping>

    Understood. Yes you are right I changed my xml mapping because I wanted to add the new field (etching).  I must have chossen a different repeating group path when I remapped.  I changed it back and all is well

    Thanks again for your help.  Thank godness you are an infopath God!
