Hello

We have a 25 view, 1000+ field InfoPath form which is connected to a SQL database as its data source.  We now want to pull data into the form from another large data source.  However, I find that when I connect it as a secondary data source the form takes hours to open because it is downloading all of the data in the new data source.

Is there a way that I can pull back just a single record from the new data source, i.e. can I pass the case reference to get the data back into the form?

Not without code or a web service, I'm afraid. We have a nice web service that does this - more info here. Here is a blog with a code sample, if you'd like to write custom code to do this. Oh, I almost forgot - there is a way to do this with qRules now as well - more info on that product here.
