Change cursor position to save data

    Hi,

I am using InfoPath 2010, SharePoint 2010. InfoPath uses the XMLFormView.

The values from the InfoPath are stored in external SQL database.

I have a few date and textbox fields available in the browser enabled form.

I have a save button, which uses the Submit host option and aspx.cs code is initiated to save the data to the table.

Edits made on the form are not saved if the cursor remains in the field that was edited. User must navigate to another field in order for the data to be saved.

    How to fix this?

    Thank you

That's sounds a little weird that it would do that.  There is probably a postback issue where you're saving the form before a postback that needs to occur which then loses the data that's in the control.

Make sure your save button is set to always postback to see if that fixes the problem.  Another alternative is just to force the user to switch to another view before saving to force the click out.  There may be a way through code to fix this as well, but not sure off the top of my head.
