InfoPath Dev

I have several InfoPath 2010 forms that have multiple data sources and are promoted from Dev, to Beta, then to Production. I’m interested in using a UDC file to so that each environment has the appropriate environment-specific values that the form will pull from the UDC hosted in the given SharePoint Data Connection Library.

I’ve found a few MSDN references discussing how to implement a UDC and viewed Pat's Channel 9 video, but it is not clear to me if I have to make a UDC file for each connection or if they all can be consolidated in one file (like a website web.config supporting multiple data connections).

Questions:

• Must I make a UDC file for each data connection in an InfoPath form, or can all connections be in one UDC?
• If they can be consolidated to one file, what is the process to add connections in one file

You'll want one UDC per data connection. InfoPath makes it easy to convert each data connection in your form into a UDC file on the server - screenshot attached.

I've never heard of having multiple data connections consolidated into one UDC, but if you find something let me know. I'd be curious to find out.

You both have confirmed the behavior I was seeing (adding a second connection to the same ucdx file over-wrote the contents), indicating the UDC can only store the info for one data connection. That's too bad, but at least I understand that going forward. Thanks guys.
