MS Access query based on another query as a data source

Hi, I am experimenting with ways to display data on an Infopath form and have decided it might be best to concatenate multiple records into one field (not concatenating different fields together...I mean multiple rows).  Although I have found some posts on these forums about double evals and concat functions...I thought I would just figure this out in Access, then base my data source off of this Access query.  So I queried my tables, then built a query to concatenate the records based off of the first query (tables>query1>query2).  Now when I go to modify my data connections (or just try to add a new one) this query (query2) will not show up!  What gives?  Can I not use a query based off of another query as a data source???

Can you create a data connection to your original query and then use the Edit SQL button to modify it?

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa202738(v=office.11).aspx has a bit of info on Access and IP - sorry, I really haven't tried much w/ Access & IP.

Thanks for the reply!  Here is what I have deduced from my troubleshooting:  Any query in Access which contains a function (concatenate) to generate results CANNOT be used as a data source in IP.  Does this make sense?

So now I am at the point of trying to figure out how to concatenate these values in IP (using a query from Access with out the concatenate function).  So I have found a couple of previous posts (http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/8940.aspx?PageIndex=1), do you think I need to do something like this?

If so, I assume that it is a problem that I can't open up VSTA because this company hasn't installed it.  So I should talk with them about that.

Am I heading in the right direction here?
