I am using InfoPath 2010 to edit a list forum. When I create a checkbox and try to manage the rules to "hide this control" it is greyed out and cannot hide. Disabled this control is available but would like the option to hide box 3 unless box 2 is checked, and hide box 2 if Box 1 is not checked. New to InfoPath and am at a loss right now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob 02-28-2012 10:02 AM In reply to Jimmy Joined on 07-03-2008 Posts 2,595 Re: Greyed out Hide Contol for CheckBox Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact The way to hide any control that cannot be directly hidden is to place it inside a small section control and add logic to hide the section control. Please give that a try. Reply Contact Yea really not sure on that... When I chose the Section control It says I need to set the binding, select a field or group in which to store the controls data. When I choose a field it then says "A repeating section must be bound to a field or group that repests" Not sure what that is either. Reply Contact You can bind the section control to the same field as the checkbox. Just drag the checkbox's field in with the right mouse button and create a section with it. Then put the checkbox inside that. That should do the trick.
