Sorry to ask something that has been covered in others posts but I have been trying to follow information and am getting no where (http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/8421.aspx).
I have a secondary data source (SharePoint list) containing, item and classification. I have linked the item field to a drop down list for the user to select from which works. I then need another control to populate with the classification details (this will be hidden from the user as is only needed in the SharePoint list view for management).
I have tried rules and filters but can't get anything to appear. I am not sure what type of control to use and have tried text box, list box and lookup but nothing works.
Obviously I am doing something wrong so if anyone can provide any basic help I would be most appreciative.
