I had a post in the thread that had a screenshot showing how to use a SharePoint List form to manage multiple items? But I think you may be talking about something else - could you add more detail?

    Hi Thabiso,

Could you create a new thread and post your question in it? It will get more attention that way. This is an old discussion and seems unrelated.

Please provide as much information as possible, since the question above is not clear.

    Thank you.

I am trying to setup a data connection to a list and using the setting to manage multiple items, but I don't see that option anywhere in the data connection wizard. Infopath 2010. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using a SharePoint List form?

Unless you check the checkbox for current item, it will pull multiple items (i.e. all items) into your form on query.

Not sure I understand what you are saying here. In the earlier posts Hillary specifically mentions a place to select 'Manage multiple items' as being the only way you can do that in a List (not library). This then gives you the option for repeating sections. I am not seeing that option anywhere and I do not have the ability to add a repeating section. It actually might not work for what I need, but until I try it.............................

I have a list that was created from an Access db. the requirement is a history view that will be able to display/manage multiple rows of history information for one item (asset). I understand that the only way this can be accomplished in a list is with the option described above. I would love to actually use a library but that has it's own challenge in getting the currently active items into the new form library. Not an easy thing, so if I could just do this repeating section thing in the list that already exists, it would solve the whole thing.

Add a form load rule to query the list on load so you can edit all items.

You can use formatting to hide items you don't want to show them for editing.

    Hilary Stoupa:

Mark - sorry, didn't see your post at the end of the thread - to my knowlege, you can't edit a SharePoint List form for ShP 2007 in InfoPath. Has to be ShP 2010.

Karen - this has to do with the limits of promoted properties on repeating data. By default, IP will promote the first entry. You can change that to "merge" - see attached screenshot.

Hello.  Where can this box be found?  I've got through Data Connections several times but cannot locate it.  Thank you.

The merge option? This would be in the promoted properties when you publish the form to SharePoint.

Re: Repeating table displaying in SharePoint list (2010)

Hi, Its very urgency.. but i dont know how to proceed.

I have configured secondary data source from SP list (which has 10 rows) which im showing it in infopath2010 form as repeating table by drag and dropping secondary data source data fields from fields pane.

Im just using SPlist to load data in repeating table. I want to save this 10 rows to the form library that im publishing it to.

But the secondary data source repeating table is not saving in to form library (not retaining the rows).

Kindly please help me..  thank you in advance.
