How can the user complete the form and see the status completed

I have a infopath form with 11 views. In a view I have a dropdown list name = StudentLifeOption and values = Parent Travel Permission and Student Info Need. When Parent Travel Permission is selected view ParentTravelPermission form launches. After the user completed the form, submits and goes back to the view with dropdown list the user can see that Parent Travel Permission is completed. Is this possible in Infopath form?

    Yes, this is possible.

Are the forms being submitted into a Form Library? or a Document Library?

When you create a new Document Library, you can choose Form Library as the type of library.

To find out which one you have chosen, goto that library and click the settings button, it will say XXXXX library settings, where the XXXXX could be Form, Document, Picture, etc.
