Hi, I have done a lot of searching on the web to help me fix this issue but have had no luck, I was wondering if anyone has had this issue. I am using info path 2007 and outlook 2007. I have designed a form which has various fields like name, email address, managers email address and a submit button, when the initial person fills in the form and clicks submit, the form will email "managers email address" and close the form. this works fine. The manager receives and email with the info path form attached. The form displays in the preview like a normal email in outlook 2007. However when he/she clicks submit or amends the form and clicks submit the correct box comes up with who is being emailed and the form gets sent but then the following happens, the user clicks the X to exit the program, message promts: "Do you want to submit the form?" yes no or cancel. If I click yes the windows with who I am about to email appears with send or cancel like the form has not been sent yet, users get confused and the form gets sent 5times until the user realises they are in a loop. If I click no the form closes as normal. i have checked form options and made sure users cannot save the form, please help, any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Vinesh Chavda

Have you disabled Save/SaveAs in the form?

Consider adding a button labeled CLOSE which simply closes the form without any prompts, so that the users don't click the X to exit the program.

thanks for your help, after playing around with buttons and button properties I have figured it out. in button properties. general tab, my action was set to submit. when I made the rules they were under the action Submit. and when you go to add an action, with conditions, there were no options to close the form - as an action. so i changed the action from submit to rules and custom code, put all the rules from submit action to rules and custom codes action. (they both look the same). however now when i add an action, with conditions, i now have the option to close the form - as an action!. the form now closes and doesn't ask to re-send when a user receives the form in an email. many thanks - this has been driving me up the WALL!
