How to open (or get data in attached file from) old infopath form?

I have old forms in 2007 INFOPATH (open in Infopath) published/stored in Sharepoint 2007 from last year.

This year, I modified the template (still 2007 infopath with new new rules and added shrepoint workflow ot it) but in web browser format, then published/stored the form template in another form library in the same sharepoint site.

I received a request to open the form from last year. When I tried to open the old forms, the form opened as a blank form without the data that was entered by users or it cannot open because it syas the .NET Programmability is not working.

I can try to work on getting all the information in the form fields by using property promotion EXCEPT I cannot get the attached file to the form using property promotion.

I currently have infopath 2010 and 2007 installed in my PC.

So, HOW can I open old submitted forms?

    Please help ...

Well, the first thing I'd do is save one of the old forms (XML files) locally and open it with a text editor to make sure the data is there. There will be information at the top of the XML about the template it is using - probably the template currently published to the library. Then I'd check on the template that is published to the library - is it the correct template? Does it have the correct schema?
