    Is there a way to edit fields in SharePoint that were created by an InfoPath form?

    I have an InfoPath form that publishes data into the form library.  Ie;

    Form 1: Name |  Rank |  Serial Number

    Form 2: Name |  Rank |  Serial Number

    Form 3: Name |  Rank |  Serial Number

    Once these fields are published I cannot go into the form library and update the fields directly.  Probably a good reason for this, but is there a method to allow editing of fields?

    Hi, Bob:

    What version of IP / ShP are you using? Starting in 2007, we could set promoted properties to allow edit - see attached screenshot.
