Morning
I have been using Infopath for a while now and have a single form that users use to submit change requests. My form is directly attached to the SQL Database schema, ( i know, i know, not the best way of intergrating with SQL ).. i am not using DBXL as yet as i am having to recreate the entire schema which is a big job,..i am currently working on it though.
The form incorporates a number of rules and data validation criteria that must be met before a "Submit" button becomes available allowing the user to submit the form and send a confirmation email with the XML attached. I should mention that i have totally disabled the "Submit" option via the Toolbar basically ensuring that the only way to submit a form was via the "Submit" button in the form.
Recently however i have noticed that users have found a way of amending forms and submitting data to my SQL Database without using any "Submit" buttons, they do this by simply opening up a form received via email or using the Enquiry function within my form,... making changes ..and then simply closing Infopath window using the "X" in the top right corner,.. you are then prompted with the message "Do you want to Submit ???.XML" and are given the options "Yes", "No", or "Cancel". If the user selects "Yes" the form and Data are submited.
So the question i have is, how do i stop this message being prompted,... it totally bypasses all my rules, data validation i have incorporated within my form.
Thank you in advance
