Hi all,

I wanna ask up front before I run into trouble later on. If I hide or disable a textfield/checkbox which is actually set to "Cannot be blank" will that rule then also be disabled ?

No. When you do hide or disable a control, you are doing it in the UI, but the validation is done on your XML.

So I could solve it with an initial value like XXX or is there also just an " " (empty string possible) ?
