Using iTextSharp to produce a PDF from an InfoPath web-fillable form

    Hi,

I'm new to iTextSharp and would like to use it to create a PDF from an InfoPath web browser form. I'm running InfoPath. It's my understanding that I can add custom code that performs this task by opening my desired form, selecting the "Developer" tab, selecting "Code Editor" from the sub-tab, and adding the appropriate iTextSharp DLL's to my project. First, I would like to confirm that what I'm attempting to do is possible. Second, I was hoping someone on this blog forum could suggest some sample code that will get me started in the right direction. The only 3rd party link that I found that comes close is listed below:

Thanks in advance for your help.

Please have a look at the PDF Converter for SharePoint. It has a lot of InfoPath specific features including Dynamic View Selection and the conversion of InfoPath attachments.

It works without SharePoint as well.

Update: Please note that I worked on this product so the usual disclaimers apply.

No thanks; you fail to mention that you work for the company behind the product you're suggesting that I purchase for nearly $1,500.

This forum works best when users selflessly share ideas without the expectation of financial gain.

Does anyone else have any ideas they would like to share regarding their experience with iTextSharp (http://www.itextpdf.com/index.php)?

    Thanks,

Sorry, just trying to help, it is a very popular product but not free I am afraid. The company name is clearly showing in my email address, but I will make it more clear in the future.

I know this is an old post but I have met similar task right now. So I wonder in the past year, you must have worked out a feasible solution, right? would you please share it with me?

Right now, I have such an idea, first convert Infopath form into a webpage and then convert this web page into PDF using iTEXT. I think this seems to be feasible.

Hello! You can also try this link (http://goo.gl/jzV5SY) in making your PDF, DOC, TXT and PPT files into a fillable pdf form. Download, edit, print, save, sign, email or even fax your tax form online.I know the software is free if you invite a couple of friends to try it out as well using this link goo.gl/oQvpJF
