    Getting started with InfoPath 2010

I try to create my first FORM.  NEW shows "Available Forms"/Recently used Forms/Find a form. BUT - from there I have no form on my PC.

I would have expected a set of "out of box" templates - and I would select one?  What am I missing?

Re: Getting started with InfoPath 2010

InfoPath 2003 shipped with a large number of sample templates. IP 2007 shipped with a few, but quite a few less. I don't believe IP 2010 installs with any sample forms.

I have IP 2007 installed on a machine, and I grabbed two of the samples it installs with for you and zipped them up. Download the zip file. Extract the files. Right click one of the templates and select Design - that will open it in design mode.

I downloaded and extracted the 2 FORMS (MS Infopath Form Template's). I did as you said - right click and select DESIGN. Perfect. Thanks so much for your help.

This really helped : Extract the files. Right click one of the templates and select Design - that will open it in design mode.

    Hello Bill,

just as a side note I would suggest looking at the 'Samples and Templates' section on this forum. There a lot of samples which you can download.

Re: Qdabra tools and InfoPath 2010

I finally realized that this site is sponsored by a company - Qdabra. Good job :-)

If you can offer anything which you think will help my project please suggest a demo.

    Best wishes

PS I'd like templates supporting 1-N relationships to several sub entities :

eg CRM : top level entity is the "contact"

    subentities are "accounts", leads, opportunities,

    I'd like 2 basic formats :

    1. a form which is rendered as one long scrollable page - with the fixed data at the top, then a "section" for each subentity (where each "line item" is displayed one after another (line by line)

    2. a "MS CRM"-like format - with the fixed data disaplyed in a set of tabs. Then each subentity type is accessed through a menu item.
