Hi all,

Thanks for reading, and possibly answering my question.

I have an infopath form with code behind. The code basically queries large database and i query the database based on fields entered on the form to prevent loading too many data on the form.

The problem now is that I have a repeating table on the form, and sometimes the repeating table just gets greyed out, and user will not be able to enter anything on the table. Now this happens randomly and I have no idea why. I have set the post back settings of the repeating table and all textboxes on it to always, yet the problem persists.

The most annoying bit is that after the form has been submitted and it goes to the approval stage, I put a conditional formatting to prevent user from inserting or deleting rows; i also have all fields on the table disabled except for one tick box that the approver will have to tick. But just a mouse hover around the repeating table greys out everything. Even after refreshing the page, the same thing happens.

If anybody has encountered this, or know how i can stop this please help.

Sorry about your issue. I don't understand why the table is greyed out. I'm assuming you're opening the form in the browser, but correct me if I'm mistaken. Before publishing the form, did you check if there are any errors in the design checker?

Yes I am opening the form in the browser. Just after I got your reply, I checked the design checker again and noticed it has a problem with the digital certificate which I removed, but I doubt if that's the problem because I have succesfully published it before. I guess the errror occured today while working on the form.

I have been having this problem for sometime now. I have tried;

a) Deleting the repeating table control and added a new one. This fixed it for a day, and the issue started the next day.

b) I modified the repeating tables post back settings to always. This also fixed it for a day, and it started again the next day.

c) This morning, I changed the post back setting to never. This has also fixed it for now, not sure what will happen tomorrow.

That's strange. Perhaps you can try publishing it in a different SharePoint server and see if it still the same?

We have only one server, so am not sure how to publish to another one. Can you advise further please?

By the way, the greying out has started again.
