Republished form not updating all contents of a library

    Hi,

I have a SharePoint 2010 form library where some forms have been entered directly from that library, and others have been submitted from a different form (a consolodation of 2 libraries into 1).  The form is a web enabled form created in InfoPath Designer 2010.

The issue I have is that any updates I make to the form template only update the forms that were entered directly into that library - the migrated forms do not pick up the new changes.

The form template was originally published directly to the library so I changed it to a content type and assigned the content type to the library - that has not made any difference though.

Any suggestions on how to make all my forms pick up the latest version of the form template?  If I have to then I will create a new library and reenter all the items - I would rather not have to do that as there are over 250 :(

    Thanks

    Tony

The migrated forms probably have the href of the form they were created from. You'll want to relink your forms. In your library, there should be a "Relink Documents" view - switch to that and it will allow you to relink any files you need to the default form template for your library. Test with one or two first to be sure you have the desired result before relinking all.

    Hi Hilary,

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

You are right - I have checked the 'Relink Document' view and sure enough, the problem forms were pointing to a different XSN.  I did what you suggested and tried a couple first and its works great - Now to relink the rest of them

    Thanks again

    Tony
