Multi-select box, using lists instead of checkboxes (Sharepoint 2010)

First let me admit that I am a total newbie to Infopath.

I am deploying Sharepoint 2010, and customizing some lists.  I have a field in SP setup as Lookup, Get information from another SP list, Allow multiple values.

I want the field formated like this:

    Wanted

    Instead of this:

    not wanted

but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi there,

With customizing your list in InfoPath the multiple selection list box will look like the second option and unfortunately there is no way to make it look like the first option without removing InfoPath from the equation.  Out of curiousity, what is the reason you prefer the look of the first over the second?

Why can't I?  The top image is an image of an infopath form taken straight from Sharepoint.

Actually it isn't InfoPath.  It's the out of box SharePoint list form that you get before you customize it with InfoPath.  Once you customize it with InfoPath, you get the box with checkboxes instead of the two list boxes side by side.  If you want to revert back to the first option, you'll need to uncustomize your list in Form Settings.
