Error: The form definition (.xsf) file contains one or more errors that prevent the form from opening.

I'm pretty sure I found the solution to this issue online sometime last month, but I can't for the life of me find it again.

What I'm doing is creating a template from a custom workflow in Sharepoint that contains infopath forms.  I add the workflow template to a different site and then go to modify the assocated infopath form, and get the following error.  "Error:  The form definition (.xsf) file contains one or more errors that prevent the form from opening."

I'm pretty sure the solution mentioned that the form was still assocated to the old list within the form, and that what was causing the error.  So something needed to be manually changed in the manifest.xsf file in order to fix the issue.  I just can't recall what needs to change and to what.

     Thanks

Is there a details button in the error message? Usually there is, that will givve you more information about what is going wrong.

Unfortunatlly, no.  Only the ? for the generic help and an OK button.

Attatch it to a reply under the options tab and I'll see if I can fix it up.

The Options tab only allows for 128k....

I sent you an IM with a link to a drop-box if that works for you.  Thanks for looking at this.

So, I PM'd you back - the dropbox had a WSP - I renamed it to CAB and grabbed the templates. Both of them open in design mode w/out issue. There is an XML file named 11SPICustomApprovalWorkflow.xoml.wfconfig.xml that seems to have some info that may be specific to a particular list - sorry, I was thinking you had a template error due to the message, I didn't read the original post closely enough.
