    Hide/Show Column in repeating table

    Hello,

I have just watched the following video where you can see that you can toogle with a button between hide and show a column in a repeating table.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYELZGZU0Gk&list=UUO1NVvm_BoFNdXimtxmN_4g&index=1&feature=plcp

Unfortunately it is not shown how this is realized... :-((

Does anyone know how I can realize this?

Thank you very much for any help.

    Regards,

    Karsten

I'd use two tables, conditionally hide and show them. One table has the column, one doesn't. Clicking the button sets the value in a field (probably in a secondary XML data source to keep my main data source tidy) that I use to determine which table to show.

    Hello Hilary,

thank you for your suggestion. I have tried several ways in the past --- for example your suggestion or I have used different views but all of them are (in my opinion) not 'best practice' :-( and have various downsides...

And the result in the video looks very good and therefore I have asked if someone knows the way which is used in the video.

Personally I guess there´s another trick which I don´t know by now... :-))

Hopefully the author looks at this thread :-)

Thanks and --- of course a  'Happy New Year'
