    Issue Opening Client Form

A single user is having the following issue when trying to create a new form.

They click new form on the Form Library.

Form prompts for a username and password (doesn't prompt for anyone else)

    Then gives the error.

    Form template: https://SITE/Library/Forms/template.xsn

The following form template cannot be opened because the system administrator has disabled opening form templates from the Internet: https://SITE/Library/Forms/template.xsn

    Access is denied.

We are on MOSS 2007 Standard.  Form is client form.

User tried a different PC and worked on that.  What setting would cause this issue on the single PC.

    Hello dwhaas,

... and welcome to our forum.

The only time that I have seen such an issue is if the user has two different user profiles in Active Directory. Once they used the one SharePoint was looking for the user was able to open and save the form.

Do you have a "Windows Server 2003" Domain. In this case I have seen that you have to do the following settings for single user.

    Internet Explorer:
Tools > Internet options > Security tab > Custom Level
then scroll down to "User authentication" - "Login"
then activate "automatic logon with current username and password"

    Hope that helps.

    Regards,

    Karsten
