InfoPath Dev

Hi We are badly stuck in this issue :) Any pointers would be of great help

We have created two Infopath 2010 forms each deployed in separate site collection,

Form 1: It has code behind , deployed as sadnbox solution

Form 2 : No Code behind and deployed as sandbox solution

In testing env both are workign fine but in production FORM 2 is not working.

Issue : We are calling user profile web service on form load in both teh forms using data connections and UDCX files. but in form 2 teh call to web service is failing frequently, means 1 out of 7 times it passes and forms opens up but most of teh time it says " Error in querying datasource" , checked logs it is logging "Unathorized access 401". It is not issue with userprofile web service but if I call any other webservice the behavior is same ? and if it is something related to env then why the Infopath form with code is working....?   

Code in form 1 is just retrieving some list items and populating controls. Rest everythign is same for both forms.

The test and production env are load balanced env. and kerberos is gettign used, also checked teh loopback thing, it is fine.

In fuurther analysis, I deployed to dummy forms in production, ( sandbox sol ) one with code and one without code, I only put call to userprofile web service in both forms using dataconnection, teh form with code has some dummy code written to populate a text box on form load event ....I found that form with code is working but without code nt working .... why this form with code is working ...always ?

Please try admin-deploying the form instead of sandboxing, and let us know how that goes.

When sandboxing, SharePoint uses a service account, which means if you call a web service such as the UserProfile it fails. We've seen this with our own DBXL web services and the solution is to admin-deploy.

Since you mention UDC files, I wonder if  something could be done (via UDC files, or changing some SharePoint service account) to remedy this. But, as of right now, we haven't found a solution other than admin-deploy.

Hi ErnestoM, Thanks for you reply,.. I have read on MSDN same that in sandbox the request that will go to web service from Infopath will go by service account which is running SharePoint 2010 COde Host service....

But to my surprise I found that in IIS LOGS that request is going on behalf of user only .................. we have directly published the form from Infopath using domain trust and  restored the backup of site to production... and the FORM which has code behind the request are actually going with service account which is running Sandbox service....it is givign us lot of headache...
