    Copy value to print view

Having a hire form where there are 3 radio buttons "sections":

    • Normal Employment - radio button that opens a section with a "datepicker" box
    • Trial employment - radio button that opens a section with "datepicker" (from date) + "datepicker" (to date)
    • Substitute - radio button that opens a section with "datepicker" from date + "datepicker" to date and a "Peoplepicker"
    • Ohter Employement according to an agreement - radio button that open a "datepicker" (from date) + "datepicker" (to date) + Textbox

I then have I "fill-out" view for the end user with a print button that opens a "Print view"

I would like to "transfer" the selected fields and their value to the pintview and not the other ones... how is this done?

    Hi-

I'm not sure that I understand the issue.

Each view is independent of the other. If you want fields 1, 2 and 3 in View1 but only fields 2 and 3 in View2 that is very easy. Just design your canvas to only have the fields you want.

You don't have to transfer anything; the values are stored in the schema itself. The only fields shown in the print view are those you choose to display.

If you want to display fields based on their value (whether they are blank or not) then simply use conditional formatting to hide/show sections as desired.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi ErnestoM

Thanks for your reply...I'll try to clarify...;-)

I copied all from the "fill view" to a "print view"..

The various radio buttons triggers the various sections - but I only want to show the one selected by the user in the print view.

If the user clicks the radio button -> Normal Employment with those value - then this is the one (with the values) that only are shown on/in the print view

If the user clicks the radio button -> Trial Employment with those value - then this is the one (with the values) that only are shown on/in the print view.

By using conditional formatting you can hide/show sections as desired.

If the field for a radio button is equal to False, then hide this section.

    Make sense?

Yeah it makes a little sense - but I'm already showing the corresponding section upon false/true at the individual radio button on the "fill-view" - and I can't seem to hide the same section on the print view.. the radio buttons are "outside" the sections....

damn it's hard to explain corerct.. :)

Then the solution is to put the radio buttons themselves within sections, so you can hide/show those sections as desired. :) Can you try that?
