InfoPath is the perfect tool for this process and will make the experience much more user friendly than our current Excel workbook version, EXCEPT I can't figure out how to add financial functions to the fields. I've read in older posts that it may be possible but wasn't able to find any actual code to borrow - is this something that can be done? I've never done any programming so I'm a VERY green newbie- any help you can offer would be much appreciated! Reply Contact Hi - any chance you are using InfoPath 2010? If so, do you have SharePoint 2010 installed with Excel Services configured? I realize this is a long shot and a lot of requirements, but with IP 2010 REST connections and the Excel Services REST API, you can actually use Excel as a calculation engine for InfoPath, no code required. Reply Contact Hi - I know this thread is a bit old, and you may have found a solution to your problem- but I wanted to let you know I just added 13 commands to qRules with the Financial methods - PV, NPV, Rate, IRR, etc. These will be part of qRules 4.2 which is being released around June 15, I believe. Let me know if you'd like to beta test these new commands.
