Hi Folks,

Do InfoPath 2007 Forms has DataGrid kind of control which allow me to fetch records from Sharepoint List or Database ?

 

You can add a SharePoint List or Database as a secondary data connection and pull the data into a repeating table control.  Not exactly a datagrid control, but it might work for you.

Thanks for your reply. I know about secondary data connection. But, i need such as control where we can bind rocordset in the control. e.g. asp.net has a grid which can satisfy this requirement. But, i need such grid in InfoPath 2007.

Let me know if you have any options.

 

Finally, I got the solution. we can do it in InfoPath only. Double click on Repeating Control. Click on "Change Binding" button. Specify data connection and bind it to Repeating control. Note: It can bind only to groups which renders record set.

Now, i am facing issue with filtering grid records based on some condition. Is there any way to filter records in Repeating Table based on drop down selection ? Pls, let me know.

as far as I know,  if you are designing an Office InfoPath 2007 form template for a browser scenario, it should be noted that filtering is not supported. Filtering browser-based forms is only supported with InfoPath 2010.

If you want to filter a browser-based form with InfoPath 2007 there´s a workaround which is published by the InfoPath team.
