I have recently ventured into template parts. This was exciting to make one change that could ultimately update many forms. Unfortunately I ran into serveral issues and I was hoping someone could shine some light. One major issue I found is with buttons. On the update is the button name is given the IP generic control number. If a function is written for that button then it has to be renamed in the form after the template is updated.
Is there a setting to a void this?
second issue is any type of resource file. XML, images etc.. On the templete update it replicates the resource files and adds a number after it. a few changes and updates and you could have several dozen resource files with most of them duplicates.
Is there a way to merge these files or prevent duplication?
