hide edit button in sharepoint form ribbon based on actual view or actual time

    Hello,

I made a form for a lunch order system. Users can add a new item and edit their own items up to 9:00am.
They have permissions for Add and Edit Items (not delete).

If they open the items after 9:00am a readonly InfoPath View is shown BUT they can edit the items if they click "Edit Item" in the ribbon (the view changes to the normal view).

How can I hide the "Edit Item" button from the ribbon or deny changing the view if it´s past 9:00 am?
The ribbon command can be hided all the time because before 9:00 am the "normal" view is opened so they won´t need the "Edit Item" button.

    Thanks,

     br, Thomas

    Hi,

You can have a field (in your schema, but not in the canvas) called "CurrentTime". Set that field everytime the form opens. If the CurrentTime is past 9am, then switch to a read only view.

    Hope this helps!
