    set one control value from multiple controls?

    I am working on a form where I would like one check box to be checked after a combination of other checkboxes are checked in the form.  And I would like it hidden.  I have a few different sections in the form, and each section has two or more tasks in it.  What I would like is after all the tasks have been completed, to have one checkbox be automatically checked to confirm all steps have been completed.  That is the control I would publish to my sharepoint library.  I also want to make it hidden, so that a user cant just check that box.

     Any help would be greatly appreciated.

     Thanks, Denise

    No need to have a control that's never visible.  Just add a boolean field to your data source and give it the default value formula:

    not((checkBox1 | checkBox2 | checkBox3 | ...)[. != 'true'])

     Or if your other checkboxes are in a repeating group, it's even easier:

    not(repeatingCheckBox[. != 'true'])

    Can you please explain your answer for me?  I am fairly new to InfoPath and so dont really understand.  By Data source, do you mean the 'Fields' section?  And where would I add this boolean field?  I am trying to create a new rule or I have looked at the properties and I dont see how I can add the information you mention.  I am working with InfoPath 2010.

     Thanks for your help!

    Is your form a SharePoint list form, by any chance?

    Jimmy's suggestion is to add a true / false field to your form fields, yes.
