InfoPath Dev

I am trying to add in a new data connection for my share point list so I can implement it on a repeating table. When I go to setup up the data connection I get "Infopath has encountered an error. "Operation has faield". Im not sure but I thionk this happened after I deleted some fileds on my form or when i made a new sharepoint list. I am really stuck here.

I am using Infopath 2010. I am gunna try 2003 see if that helps

sorry just to calrify. I already have this data connection connected to other fields. Now I wanted infopath to connect to my new list on my SP site. I goto to data connection then click add new list. This error wont go away.

Hey - I'm a little confused.

So, are you saying you can't add a new data connection in your form to a SharePoint list?

I cannnot add a connection to my sharepoint list. I could before but now it wont let me "infopath has encountered an erroor, operation failed".  My form has a connection to my sharepoint site that I made a while back. I recently created a new list on sharepoint and now I want IP to connect to that list that I recently made.

I guess if it were my form, I'd be trying to figure out if it were the form or the list. If you create a new, blank form, can you add a data connection to the list?

yea good point......... I just tried connecting using a new form and it says operation cant be completed. Any ideas what good be wrong with my sharepoint site?  I am guessing this all happened after I created that new list.

 I found this thread unresolved.

I am having the same problem with InfoPath 2010. All of a sudden, I am not able to edit existing data connections in my form or and any new connection.

I tried to create a new form and do the same on fresh form but I could not get success.

The error I get is "InfoPath has encountered an error. The operation failed. The parameter is incorrect."

I am using SharePoint Online (Office 365 E1 subscription). Some people on other forums suggested that its a server problem. But I its not.

I am able to work fine from other machine with InfoPath 2010.

This is local InfoPath 2010 issue. I have uninstalled and re-installed InfoPath but problem still exists.

Help in this regard is highly appreciated.
