    Hide Section

    How to hide a section depending on a view ?
    Can i do it with conditional formating or is there any other way to achieve this.

    Conditional formatting is going to be your best bet.

    If you want to show/hide a section programmatically set the conditional formatting to show/hide on an invisible boolean node and then change the value of that node in code.

    Hi Matt

    Is there a way to programmatically determine if a section has been hidden?  Something like...

     if (XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode("//my:myFields/my:section").visible == false) {
        <actions to take>
    }

    I've tried several variants with no luck.  Also, is there a reference site for InfoPath elements/attributes/methods on msdn or somewhere?  I've looked but haven't been able to find anything.

    Thanks
    G

     There is no straightforward way to determine whether a section is hidden or not.  Sections are hidden based on your own conditional logic, so you would have to evaluate the same logic in your code to determine whether it is hidden or not.
