    Web Form

    Dear Experts,

I just want to ask another different question...Suppose I exporting an Infopath form to a webpage, are other people where are in different location should install the Infopath software in order they can open the web form(Infopath) and fill it out..????...Or they dont need..???..

    Thanks,

    Rully

Yes, to be able to open and fill out an InfoPath XSN file, users must have InfoPath installed.

However, we just so happen to offer an InfoPath Forms Viewer that allows users to view XML form data and a Forms Database Accelerator that allows editing and postback. Check them out in the webstore:

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply..it's interesting...

However, by purchasing InfoPathDev Viewer, user (who has not an Infopath software installed) can fill the form..??...and can updated directly into a database..???...Can I install this viewer in the local drive(hard drive) rather than installing on server?

Our Form Viewer supports viewing XML forms in a web browser. In addition, if you integrate it with our Forms Database Accelerator tool you can support data edits and postback.

Why would you want to install it on the local machine? Doesn't your local machine have InfoPath Installed?

Also, one of the requirements for install is:
    quote:
Web server running IIS 5.0 or greater

    So, keep that in mind.

    Hi Zach007,
Depends on the license you buy. If you buy both InfoPathDev Forms Viewer and InfoPathDev Database Accelerator, you can input fields into a database, but not all fields. Just radio buttons, dropdowns, text fields, dates, and other simple fields. The Forms Viewer doesn't support entry for all controls (for example, digital signatures and file attachments are not supported).
