Secondary data source drop down, will not refresh after use?

I am using the DBXL web service and query builder to pull data from a SQL database, using 4 different secondary data sources.  I have a drop down list box that pulls a list of customer names from the database, and then the query is filtered by the customer name to pull an ID number the customer has been assigned, all the rest of the data is pulled filtered based on the ID number.

That is all working correctly, however, after I select a customer name on the drop down list and the data all auto fills if I go back and click on the drop down list again I only see the name I selected the first time on the drop down, rather than the complete list.  Is there some way I can set this form to refresh so a user can fill out and print a second form without having to close and reopen the document each time?  The default refresh button did not work.

    Thanks for any thoughts,

    J

It almost sounds like you are using the same data connection for your dropdown as you are to pull back the data filtered on ID number - is that correct?

If so, you'd need to run your query again without the filter to get the full list of customers again - or use two connections to that data source - one that pulls all customers for your drop down - one for your filtered results.

Let me know if I've not understood the scenario correctly.

You had it exactly right.  I created a separate data connection to pull the names from and it is working perfectly now. Thank you very much for the fast answer. J
