infopath form published in SharePoint 2008 cannot connect to sqlserver 2008

    Hi,

I've got a 2007 form with a handful of fields in it.  There's a field on the form called 'ErrorID' that's equivalent to the key field 'LD_ERR_ID' in a table called STG_LD_ERR in a sql 2008 database.  I have some rules set in the ErrorID.  The first rule is:

Query using a data connection: STG_LD_ERR

second and subsequent, rules are all in the format of :

    Set a field's value: ErrorDate = @ERR_DT[@LD_ERR_IE = ErrorID]

When I check if it's working in the preview mode it works fine.  When I publish to sharepoint, I get this detail on an error message

The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: STG_LD_ERR
InfoPath cannot run the specified query.
InfoPath cannot connect to the data source.
    Access is denied.
    Access is denied.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Thanks,

    Chris

figured it out.  I had a bad security setting in my browser (ie 8).  under tools -- internet settings -- security (button) -- custom settings -- miscellaeous group enable 'Access data sources across domains'

I haven't played around with any other browsers...

Glad you found the setting - and thanks for posting your resolution for others!
