My problem here now is that I cannot get the fields to validate correctly. I have attached a sample of what I am dealing with. But, here is what the process/problem is:

Users enter in total cost. Then they choose $ or %. The three fields below then show either the field that is formated as dollar or the field as percent.

Then I have two hidden fields that add together the 3 fields to get a total (one for dollar and one for pecents).

So what needs to happen, is that if the user enters in total cost, the 3 dollar fields need to total that and cannot go over or under.

If user selects percents, the three fields have to equal 100%. The problem is that users do not have to enter all 3. They could enter only one or all 3.

Better, but I was wanting to alert users that the number has not been hit yet, becuase they will not see that total field. Like, have the validation show an error message to users that the 1 or 3 fields have not equaled 100% or are not equal to the Total cost field.
