Infopath forms to query/update an access database all on a sharepoint

I'm created an Infopath form to query/update an access database.  This works perfect locally, but once I upload the access database (entire database, not as sharepoint lists), and try to establish a data connection from my local Infopath file to the shared database, Infopath indicates that:

"An unspecified error has occurred while attempting to connect the data source.  Microsoft Office Infopath supports only Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Office Access databases.  Check the connection to ensure it uses one of those two databases."

However, my database is Microsoft Access, so I'm not sure why the error.  I've tried uploading the database in a data connection library as well as my Shared Documents section to no avail.

    Any suggestions?

What type of version of SharePoint are you using? For example, SharePoint 2010 (Enteprise) has Access services, which allow for an entire Access application to be uploaded to SharePoint for use. Just curious.
