InfoPath Dev

Hi, new to the forum and InfoPath.

 I am working on an InfoPath Form that pulls certain fields from a SP list to the form for Issue tracking. The repeating table is hidden until they select the object they are reporting an issue about (this is a dropdown box also bound to the SP list). After they select the object, the Repeating table becomes visible, and populates with the corresponding information concerning that object, which is displayed in the repeating table. (Assigned to, Project Name, etc...)

In the fields connected to "People Picker" fields in the SP list, the data comes back like this:  "Adams,, Bob"

 I have checked the data in the SP list, and it is correct, and none of the other fields that I am pulling in have this problem. It is only those connected to a People Picker control in the SP list. How can I correct this and get rid of this extra comma? Thanks!

Anyone? This is a really annoying problem.

Throw this condition into your desired field:

concat(substring-before(../my:field1, ","), substring-after(../my:field1, ","))

Replace the field1 with whatever field you are using or however you are populating your data. It will strip that second comma out of there.

 

This is happening on a repeating table, where I cannot concat (at least I can't find a way to). It is adding a comma when the data I am bringing in isnt' displaying an extra comma in SharePoint. It is pulling data on a People Picker field, and I am using the Display Name as the data field I am binding it to. What am I missing?
