Hide/Show fields if set of previous fields have been completed ...

    Hi,

is there a way to hide a Signature Line object in MS Infopath 2010 based on wether or not some previous fields have been completed/selected from/checked ?  I have a form and the bottom section contains a signature line, a comment field and a submit button.  So far I have not been able to find information on how to make the form display an error message if user has not put in a comment and also sign on the signature line when clicking the "Submit" button.

Can someone help me out on this?

    Thanks,

    Jean

You can place the signature line inside a section control and use conditional formatting to hide the section accordingly.

    Thanks Jimmy,

however, how can I detect the presence of a completed signature line when displaying and allowing the end-user to click on the "Submit" button?

When you set up conditional formatting, you should be able to pick "Select a set of signable data..." and base your condition on whether or not the form is signed, though I don't see a way to base it on specific signature lines.

The reason I am asking is because I have 5 different views which are accessed by appropriate sets of users depending on what user role is assigned to them.  When signing a signature line object, the user could be signing a subsection (maybe it should be called "Signature_Section_1" for example) and the "Comments" text field could be in another subsection then followed by the "Submit" button which could possibly submit the form only if the latter is completed.  Is this scenario possible?
