Help me please.

I am using IP 2007.

I am using a repeating section, where I have 3 drop down list boxes, a date and 2 text boxes. The list boxes are populated from a lookup table in SQL.

I have to click the "Insert Item" of the repating section about 70 times, then select the "Section" and "Date" fields, 70 times. The section and date are the same every time. This is time consuming and wastes allot of clicks.

Is there a way for me to put the "Section" and "Date" fields somewhere (outside the repeating section), where I can just select the date and section once, and all the date and section fields in my repeating section will be populated from that one selection?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, this is very simple to do.  Just create controls using fields that are not in your repeating group.  On each of these fields, you can create a rule to copy the field's value to the corresponding field in your repeating group, and this will modify that field's value in all of the rows.

I assume you're still using a form with a Database Submit main data connection so you'll find that you can't modify the queryFields and dataFields groups, but you can add your own groups and fields to the myFields (root) group.
