    Create a multi-select section for browser based forms

    I am currently trying to create a multi-select option for one of my forms.  I'm not really sure how to accomplish this.  Here is what is currently working:

    1. Select a role from the "Role Selection"
    2. Have the this populate the fields in the repeating section
    3. Clear the "Role" and "Role Description" on insert of new item

    Multi-Select

    This is where it is getting hairy.  I would like to be able to select a different role for the inserted line item.  In order to do that, I change my role selection.  When I do so, it changes my first selection.  Here are the formulas I am using to populate the values of the tables:

    Data for dropdown is being pulled from an external datasource

    Role: @ows_LinkTitle[@ows_ID = RoleSelection]
    Role Description: @ows_Description_x0020__x0020_[@ows_ID = RoleSelection]

    Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Eric

    Why not put the dropdown box right in the repeating table?

    I just now tried that and when I select the dropdown in the in the second section, the fields take the value from the first one.

    In your formula windows, could you click Show XPath to show what the expanded XPath is, and paste them here?

    Here is the xpath for the "Roles" field:

    @ows_LinkTitle[../@ows_ID = xdXDocument:get-DOM()/my:myFields/my:ApplicationPermissions/my:LNUserRoles/my:RoleSelections/my:Roles/my:RoleSelection]

    I currently have a rule on the dropdown to set the value of the roles field.

    Ok, there's the problem. Please try this:

    @ows_LinkTitle[../@ows_ID = current()]

    That worked.  I don't know why I didn't think of that.  I am doing something similar to that in another form.  I should know better by now!

    Thanks for the help on this Jimmy.
