Help with Basic formula / Rules

Hello This forum/site seems to be the business! I am very new to infopath. it looks great and I am making my first form which is a booking form for my villa. I am stuck on the following: In a box, Let us call it ' T1', I want to put the total based on a calc as follows. If a box lets call it 'C1' which shows either a $ sign or a £ sign I want to auto fill Box T1 with an amount. For example: if C1 shows a '$' sign T1 will show '300' if C1 shows a '£' sign T1 will show '200' Can anyone help with the formula or rules? Thanks George

    Hi George,

    Thanks for finding us.

If you are using InfoPath 2003 or 2007, just right click the C1 box and choose properties. Select rules. Add a rule with a condition where C1='$' and add an action to set the value of field T1 as 300. Add another rule with a condition for when C1 is a pound symbol. Easy to do.

If you are using InfoPath 2010, find the Manage Rules button in the ribbon and do it through the taskpane.

    Good luck!
