Hello Developers,
I m new to InfoPath and SharePoint and slowly very frustrated. Please help me.
I have a MS SharePoint 2007 Form Library and Im trying to create a Form with specific behavior in InfoPath 2007 (browser enabled):
The Form will be used for very simple data entry actions (many fields with numbers, text, checkboxes and so on)
For every new data entry I want the user to go to the Form library and click NEW > New Document. This should load the last entry into a form to make the entry faster since the numbers and text are changing only slightly and also rarely.
Q: How can I load the last (the latest) item (Document) from a list into the form?
After changing the pre loaded data I want the User to click a Button. This should submit the file and save it as document into the form library with name = yyyymmdd and close the form
Q: how can I submit the form with name yyyymmdd
Everything has to be browser enabled since the users of this Form have no InfoPath installed.
This collected Data should be presented on another MS SharePoint website as diagram and values should be presented as healthy (green) or unhealthy (red)
Q: How can I do this (with a KPI List?)
Im trying to make this work but if you have a simpler or better workflow I m also open for new ideas.
What I did so far:
- I could "Convert Main Data Source" from Form Library with all the fields needed
- create "Secondary Data Source" which loads List but fills only the data into the fields from the first Documents saved in that Form Library
(but I had to set this up for each field I believe there must be a quicker way to this - 1 have hundret + fields)
Please help. Thanks in advance
Best regards
Steffen
