    Linking Two Repeating groups....

I have a data structure (shown in attachment)

I want to have a repeating section with the InterfacedApplicationInformation.  Within that repeating section I want to have a Repeating section with the InterfacingSoftwareInformation in it.  But I only want to display the information where the InterfacedApplication matches.

If the InterfacingSoftwareInformation was a child of the InterfacedApplicationInformation I could do this with no problem.  But ideally - for other use- I would like to keep the two repeating groups separate.

I cannot get my head round how to make the link between the InterfacedApplication - within two repeating sections.  Is this feasible ?

    Thank you

    Catharine

    Hello Catherine,

You can create a repeating section or table bound to InterfacingSoftwareInformation inside the repeating section for InterfacedApplicationInformation.  Then, in the Display tab of the properties dialog for the inner table or section, click Filter Data..., and set it to filter on the expression current()/my:InterfacedApplication = my:InterfacedApplication.  That should do the trick.

Ideally, you should disable adding and removing rows for the inner repeating table or section, and add or remove rows somewhere else in the form that's not nested like this.  Is that what you're planning to do?
