    Carriage Returns

I have read the following threads.

    http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=817
    http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1095

In SP in a DB, I am contacting a several lines together with "\r\n" indicating where I want a line break. I have a textbox that allows paragraph breaks on InfoPath. From my webservice which is calling a SP in SQL Server I have return the following with no avail:

    <Value>aaa \r\n bbb \r\n ccc</Value>
    <Value>aaa\r\nbbb\r\nccc</Value>

In the textbox I simply want to display:
    aaa
    bbb
    ccc

    but I am getting:
    aaa \r\n bbb \r\n ccc

Any other ideas of how I should return such that InfoPath will recognize the carriage return.

Found problem, in stored proce - added char(13) + char(10) then this would return through webservice, down to InfoPath correctly. This seems like something I overcame when several years ago in undergrad.

    Hey vt_asparagus,

I've read through the same posts and am having the same problem with the carriage return. Can you please explain in laymans terms how to add char (13) + char (10) into the stored procedure?

    Cheers

I do not have access to the stored proc right now, but all that simply means is the select statement did the following:

    Select colA + char (13) + char (10) + colB From tblTest

    Make sense...
