    Conditional formatting

I am having an issue trying to figure out how to hide/show a section in a repeating section. The issue I have is the first row seems to be dictating when to hide and show and I am trying to control this at the row level.

I have a button, Rule: on click it increments a count field.

    count - Rule1, sets field value, count mod 2 = 0 , label = add

    rule2, sets field value, count mod 2 = 1 , label = remove

Section rule, formatting, hide section if "count = 0"  or "count = 'count mod 2 = 0'"

     the count field increments correctly.

some reason only row one seems to hide and show all at the same time. Is there some way to apply current() so I can get these to work independently in each row?

    Kind regards,

    Hi -

Can you attach a sample of what you're trying to do? I'm a little confused trying to follow...

You rock Hilary. Okay, I dont have direct access to my template tonight, but I will in the morning. So tonight I tried to replicate the form as I was trying to explain so it could be understood. Wouldnt you know it, no issue. So now I am at a loss. I am going to post my sample tonight and post the original in the morning. There really is no difference in the logic, but the original template has many more fields and much more logic.

as you can see in the template, clicking add button will show the section, the label changes to remove, click remove now hides the section reseting field values. If you have time you can look at this to get an idea. Tomorrow I will post the template with the issue

    thanks a million.

    Kind regards,

I see what you are doing - but I'm wondering... why?

    I mean... you could just have a single boolean field called "hide" - right? When it changes, clear fields, have conditional formatting based on true / false.... I guess I'm trying to understand the purpose of the count field. :-}

But, I do get what you are saying - I so adore it when something works exactly right in my test template but fails in my "real" template. Post it up tomorrow and I'll see if I can see something different going on.

I could not get it to work that way. Initially it was setup like that. Then I was getting an error after I checked/unchecked the box during testing. Or some times the second section did not work at all. After some research and several methods I thought this way would work. But still having issues. Let me rework the template to the check boxes and let's see what I can see Thanks again
    Kind regards,
    Larry
