Reply Contact Greetings all, Up to yesterday everything was working fine. I am using Infopath 2007 (as part of Office 2007 PLUS) with Sharepoint 2007. However, yesterday I installed Office 2010 PLUS Trial version. However, when I open Infopath 2010 and ran the code editor (under the Developer section), it said that the VSTA was not available. Frustrated, I uninstalled Office 2010 and reverted back to using Infopath 2007, but now I am getting the follwing error, when I try to build my code (C#) Error 1 The "UpdateInfoPathManifest" task could not be loaded from the assembly Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Vsta, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c, processorArchitecture=MSIL. Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Vsta, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. Confirm that the <UsingTask> declaration is correct, and that the assembly and all its dependencies are available. Any idea? I need to get this fixed! You may want to run the installer for Office 2007 again, and select the option for adding features (sorry, I'm sure I'm not explaining this well, it has been awhile) and then make VSTA not available. Restart after, then walk throug again to make VSTA available - here's better info on those steps. Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact Hey, I am so glad that you got that sorted. In the future, if you want to try out a newer version of Office / InfoPath, I recommend using virtual machines. When Office 2010 came out, I first set it up on a VM, leaving my main work machine as Office 2007. Once I decided I was ready to switch, I put 2010 on my work machine, and then removed it from my VM, and installed 2007 there (I have InfoPath projects in Visual Studio that I need to maintain, so I have to have an environment I can work on those in). That approach has worked very well for me - I get a chance to check out the latest and greatest without worrying about destabilizing my work environment, and then just swap versions when I'm ready to make a change.
