New instance of same repeating table?

Eventually I will get good enough at this stuff to actually contribute some answers, but for now . . .

    More questions -

Is it possible to add a new instance of a repeating table with the values zeroed out?  For instance, I am creating a gear order list (still) in which the user goes down the list and enters the number of each item he needs.  I use copy table to pull over the data from a centralized gear list on SharePoint.  Now, since we usually have mulitple venues for one event, I need to be able to add another gear table for a different venue in the same form.

Does that make sense?  I need mulitple instances of the same table without duplicating the same data.  Is this possible?  I have Qrules, and I am open to using any method possible to accomplish this.

    Hi Shniggens!

In the InfoPath Designer, you can add a reference to the table you already have. Just go to the current repeating group node in the main data source right click and choose reference and select the group node under which is where you want the new table. You will need to add a separate CopyTable command for this new table since the xpath is different.

    Best!

So it would basically be a different table?    The problem is, I don't know how many tables I might need.  I might need 2 to 4 depending on the number of venues.

And what about submitting to a list?  Would I need seperate SubmitToSharePointList commands?

I really don't understand. The form has one table. The table is displayed in different places based on conditional formatting. Is all the info you need to submit the same data structure? It must be, because you aren't going to be changing the data structure on the fly in InfoPath.

So, yes, one repeating group. One SubmitToSharePointList command to submit the repeating group. The sample form just displays different items from the same repeating group based on conditional formatting.
